The story begins when an Earth-like wordls faces collapse over unknown forces that aren't quite natural.A high priestess prays to the Gods (2 Gods,1 male,1 female) for an answer, which comes as a white vision of 4 sisters with divine-like power,but then she sees that to gain the power,they have to find an innocent soul to submit to their powers. Nanya looked for the foreseen sisters and found them in a small town near the woods where she made home.She warned the sisters,while hesitant,they knew a hard path awaits them,bc since they were little,they had dreams of batttles,more like nightmares.The inhabitants of this world are highly religious,mostly bc the interaction with the Gods is quite tangible.Every inhabitant is in touch with its deep self,so dream scripting and analysis is common.The priests and wiseman are more in touch with it,so clervoyancy is often among them.Also,there are aquired magic abilities,but they always come at a price,like the sisters here. They accepted their fate.The next problem facing them is the sacrifice that is required.
Inhabitants that are to become priests/esses are virgins,until they gain their full status,then they become "free".It is seen as a gift of sacrifice of one's needs,that doesn't last forever,but until one's ambitions are reached.
...So,the sisters knew where to find someone like that,they even knew some people in training,but they still had doubts about how to execute the neccessary plan.
The sisters remain guardians of nature after the 1st battle,that wasn't won,nor lost,both sides were exhausted,so it was more like a "press pause" situation.

Remember Nevia? Well,she's a snow queen,a goddess & one of the 4 sisters that guard the environment.You'll meet them each as the seasons pass. Each of them has characteristics usually associated with the time of year- Nevia is strong,but unexpressive,sometimes selfish,but ultimately rightious,no matter what. She's not very social,but she doesn't mind it a bit.The second sister is the goddess-guardian of spring & I'll only tell you the name-Fleurien.More about her soon,it is spring after all.
Xiron-alien princess.Her story needs to be figured out yet. All I know is that she's lost in space, away from her people. Also,her reign has yet

A funny fact. I, too, have a fantasy story (a bunch of stories actually) where there are two deities ruling over the world, a male and a female. There are two more deities, the evil ones (these are in fact genereless but are often seen as a male and a female as well).
